How Outfitter builds a contractor website in about five minutes
You talk to Emma, Outfitter’s AI agent, for about five minutes, and she builds your website while you’re on the phone. It’s online before you hang up, at getoutfitter.ai/site/your-name, and we text you the link. The site has no time limit; Website Professional puts it on your own web address for $79 a month.
Who it’s for: Trade owners with no website, an outdated one, or only a Facebook page, from roofers to house cleaners.
What happens on the call
- You tell Emma your trade, your town, your business name and your number. That’s about two minutes.
- If your business is already online, she can find it. Once you confirm it’s you, she brings in your photos, reviews and details.
- Pages, services, photos, reviews, mobile layout and the Google basics go in while you talk. You watch it build.
- The site goes live at getoutfitter.ai/site/your-name, and we text you the link.
- After that, chat with or call Emma to change anything: a headline, a price, a photo, a whole new section.
What “built while you talk” means
There are no forms, no templates to fill in and no designer to wait on. Emma asks you questions out loud, the way a new hire would, and the site fills in as you answer. She builds from what already works for sites in your trade, then fills in your details.
Your services are written the way homeowners search for them. Your photos, reviews and service area go on page one. Tap-to-call sits on every page, for the homeowner looking you up on a phone. A contact form sends every request to you, and an AI booking agent answers visitors’ questions any time of day.
Who it fits
It fits the owner who knows a website matters but never had a free week to build one. Two in three Americans are more likely to hire a contractor or home service company that has a website. That’s from the DreamHost 2026 Local Business Trust Index, a survey of 1,201 US adults.
If you already have a site you like, you don’t need ours to use the rest of Outfitter. Your ads can point to any site you already have.
Compared with the usual ways
The usual options are a designer who takes weeks or a do-it-yourself builder that eats your evenings. Or a relative built it once and never touched it again. They all stall on the same thing: changes. A new service, a new town or a price bump means an email, a login or a wait.
With Outfitter, a change is a text. Tell Emma the new price for a drain cleaning and it’s live. Publish changes any time, with no login maze.
What it costs
The website is $0 forever, with a small Outfitter banner at the bottom. Hosting and SSL are included, and there’s no card and no contract. Website Professional is $79 a month, or $799 a year paid annually, with the first 30 days free.
What it won’t do
- The no-cost site lives at getoutfitter.ai/site/your-name with a small Outfitter banner at the bottom.
- Your own web address and no banner come with Website Professional.
- You upgrade from your workspace once your site is live.
- It works with Front Desk and Marketing when you want them, and on its own when you don’t.
An example
BuildFlow Basements, a basement finishing company in the Twin Cities, runs its website on Outfitter. Homeowners walk through real finished basements in 3D before they ever call. Step one on the site is Emma, who helps them design and price a basement any time.
