Visit claude.ai/download — it detects your operating system automatically.

Install the app

Mac: Open the .dmg file, drag Claude to Applications. Windows: Run the installer — follow the prompts, takes about 30 seconds.

Create an account or sign in

Open Claude and create a free account with your email. If you already have a Claude account, just sign in.

Enable Cowork mode

In Claude, go to Settings → Features → turn on Cowork. This is what lets Claude work with your files.

Claude is free to download. Your Outfitter subscription includes everything you need — no separate Claude subscription required to get started.

Download your workspace and create your folder.

Click the button above. A file called CLAUDE.md will download to your computer.

Create a folder on your Desktop

Mac: Right-click your Desktop → New Folder Windows: Right-click your Desktop → New → Folder

Name it exactly: OutfitterAI

Drag CLAUDE.md into the folder

Move the downloaded file into your new OutfitterAI folder. That's it — one file, your whole workspace.

Connect your folder and say hello.

Last step — point Claude to your workspace folder. Once connected, Claude knows your business and is ready to work.

Open Claude and start a new Cowork session

Click the + button in Claude to start a fresh conversation. Make sure you're in Cowork mode.

Select your OutfitterAI folder

Click Select Folder in the bottom left, navigate to your Desktop, and choose your OutfitterAI folder.

Say hello

Type: "Read my CLAUDE.md and tell me what you're set up to do." — Claude will confirm everything is connected and walk you through what's next.

You'll select this same folder each time you start a new Outfitter session. Takes two seconds. Everything from here forward happens inside Claude.
